No.8 Attended the 2016 Singapore International Innovation Competition and Achieved Excellent Results

 

From April 7th to 10th, the representative group made up of three students and one teacher from No.8 attended the 2016 Singapore International Innovation Challenge Competition organized by the Singapore Anglo-Chinese School. The content of the challenge was to make a bulb which had a beautiful appearance and could work using pencil lead. Before they left for Singapore the three senior high students from No.8, who loved innovation and invention, were guided by teacher Ma Ziping. They made full preparations and during the competition they were both calm and cool. At last they successfully completed the task , obtained an outstanding result and won  praise from the organisers. During this trip to Singapore, the representative group also visited Singapore Universal Studios and watched a performance with local characteristics. Through combining theory with practice and competing with other countries’ students, they not only improved their ability to innovate and  broadened their  horizons but also increased their  knowledge.
